TEXTURE  DESIGNS

The texture examples listed below are the most common.  We can apply or match any texture coating.  We can also remove any type of texture coating by floating the surface with drywall mud to prep for a new design.

orangepeel

Orange Peel texture is a very subtle texture commonly mistaken for a smooth finish.  It is applied with air through a hopper gun or a gas powered spray rig.  It can be applied in several different thicknesses and sizes.

SMOOTH FINISH

epic knockdown texture

A wall or ceiling with a smooth finish surface does not have the benefit of popcorn or orange-peel texture to hide the imperfections in the drywall's surface and the raised areas from the drywall tape and mud joints. Drywall imperfections cause shadows on a smooth finished wall or ceiling. To create a smooth finish, drywall finishers skim coat the entire wall or ceiling after the tape and mud joints dry. Painters must apply a primer to drywall with a smooth finish before giving the wall or ceiling its final coat.

Knockdown texture is air applied then a hand troweled texture. It is sprayed on evenly throughout, then lightly troweled by skilled hands to achieve its look. This texture looks best if applied over ceiling scrapes, bare drywall, or drywall mud.
